Youngkind

Youngkind is a strategic insights agency. YK identify trends, challenges and opportunities in the lives of young people through conversation. Brand strategy, identity and website. They engage in conversations and activities online and in real life to help businesses, institutions and governments to understand and learn from future generations.
We collaborated directly with Youngkind’s founder Amanda Windus to develop the brand strategy for the agency including their brand purpose, values and proposition ‘Learn from the future’.

Youngkind explore global themes and nuanced behaviour in young communities through conversation. The logo is a universal symbol for ‘Youngkind’. The YK ligature feels part of everyday language. It could be a glyph on a keyboard or a mark scratched into a wall. The symbol stands with arms outstretched. Drawn by anyone. Owned by the young.

Colours are loud and the graphics are clean with primarily typographic layouts driving the identity. Deliberately simple and accessible icons represent the key themes and conversations Youngkind engage in.

The website represents the community of young people and their parents, encouraging them to get involved on important topics. It also helps explain the services of youngkind to businesses, institutions and governments who want to engage in relevant topics.
